So who am I? Well, for starters, my name is Jessica, although I also go by two other names online. I'm twenty four years old, female, and live somewhere east of the Mississippi.
I love computers, reading, music, daydreaming, and Tolkien. I'm also a lifelong 4-Her, and was inducted into the WV All-Stars in June 2003.
My music and clothing preferences run the gamut. As far as music is concerned, I listen to everything from the LOTR soundtrack (symphonic) to Steve McDonald (Scottish) to Linkin Park (alternative metal). I dress a fun mix of hippie, comfy jeans-and-tee, and goth/punk (when I don't have to go to work and look professional), and am building up a feminine streak. My hair is brown and is currently short and kinda curly. Oh, and I now wear glasses.
I'm an admitted bookworm. I like most genres of fiction, but prefer sci-fi and intellectual thrillers like Michael Crichton, John Grisham, Tom Clancy. I also love Tolkien (fantasy), the older Star Wars books (pre-New Jedi Order), Starship Troopers, the Miles Vorkosigan series, Harry Potter, anything by H.P. Lovecraft, and the Brother Cadfael series. I love movies like LOTR, SW (original Trilogy), Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Frankenfish, Matrix, Interview With a Vampire, The Island, Pirates of the Caribbean, V for Vendetta, Syriana, The Last King of Scotland, Munich, and many others.
I've been homeschooled since second grade (and for the record, NO, I didn't lounge around all day in my sleepwear). I've taken two classes at a local high school, Creative Writing and Genetics. I graduated, with a BA in History, honors, cum laude, and am now working on my master's in medieval British history.
I'm single, and while I'd like to change that, I'm a grad student - I don't really have a lot of time for a relationship. Still, I do what I can. When I'm not studying or researching for a paper, I usually read for pleasure, tweak my computer, watch movies, or listen to music and destress.
